Odd Question

MyDG and I were at a Kiwonary meeting this weekend.  (Of course we were.)  A woman was standing with a group of my colleagues.  I still don’t know her name, and I didn’t see her the rest of the weekend. Our conversation: As she reaches to pick up my purse, “Nice bag, is it Coach?” [...]

February Update

We had a slight breather after the big show in California.  Emails and paperwork didn’t let up, but the meetings lessened for a bit.    We organized all the boxes and files, at one point we had Kiwonary papers in four rooms.   We got rid of much of it over the weekend. MyDG is now [...]

Dressing on a Budget

MyDG and I have many meetings in our future.  We need business-casual, dressy, and evening clothes.  We’ve been in Kiwonary for many years, and are active members.  We have  tuxedos, and evening and cocktail dresses.  Until MyDg receives the official DG jacket, he’ll need a large wardrobe.  People will notice, and we don’t want to [...]

Clothes Make the DG

We must play the game.  We’re going to play our way, though.  A Kiwonary DG must look like a successful leader.  The unwritten rules seem to include DG jacket, dress shirt, tie or scarf, dress slacks or skirt, and polished dress shoes.  Kiwonary is a conservative organization for professionals, and most DGs are older. Well [...]
